Membership
Being a member of the Chilliwack Safe Haven is a meaningful way to make a direct and lasting impact on animal welfare in our community. As a member, you help rescue and protect cats in need while connecting with a passionate group of individuals who share your values. Membership opens doors to volunteering opportunities, advocacy, and a role in decision-making, as well as access to exclusive resources and events.
Our one-member, one-vote governance structure means your voice plays a direct role in guiding the direction of our organization and its mission. It’s a fulfilling way to be part of something bigger—a compassionate, dedicated cause that is changing lives. We also encourage you to share our work with your friends and family. The more members’ voices and hands we have, the more animals we can help. Together, we can grow our community and continue to create lasting change.
In fact, BC Gaming Grant eligibility is based on having members who vote and participate. Because of our members, we can apply for Gaming Grant funds every year.
There are some requirements to becoming a member. If you volunteer, foster or donate to the Haven, you are eligible to apply. We review applications and you will be informed upon acceptance. We also review the membership list at the end of every year to ensure members still qualify.
The fee is $10 per year, due in January of each year. We do not prorate your fee, however, applications that are accepted in December will be applied for the following year.
