Chilliwack Safe Haven EGM Postponed by Court Injunction

The Chilliwack Safe Haven Board of Directors announced today that the EGM originally scheduled for March 23, 2026 will not take place. A court injunction “enjoining the extraordinary general meeting from taking place today” was granted, with no objection from any of the requisitionists.
A lawyer representing a different member wanted to ensure this injunction doesn’t disallow any future EGM requests, which it does not. It only impacts the meeting scheduled for March 23.
On March 9th, the Board of Directors gave the requisitionist group the opportunity to restart the Requisition Process, which they declined.
The Safe Haven will keep members and volunteers updated, when more information becomes available.
