This Canada Day, we’re asking our community to come together to help support the cats at Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven.
On July 1st, we’ll be collecting donations for parking during the Canada Day festivities at Heritage Park, and we’re currently looking for approximately 24 volunteers as well as 1 Team Lead to help from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Volunteer shifts are approximately 2 hours long, making it an easy and meaningful way to give back while still enjoying the celebrations.
Volunteers will help by:
- Manning the Parking Booth at the entrance
- Collecting cash donations for parking
- Directing vehicles to designated parking spots
No experience is needed, but you will be standing or walking during the shift. Training will be provided by Heritage Park staff.
Donations collected are shared 50/50 between Heritage Park and the Haven. This event will directly support the cats in our care by helping provide food, medical treatment, shelter, and enrichment for the cats who need us most.
We truly rely on the support of our community to continue this work, and events like Canada Day make a real difference for the shelter.

Even volunteering for a single shift helps more than you know.
And if you are unable to volunteer, sharing this opportunity with friends and family is another wonderful way to support the cats ❤️
Thank you for helping us make a difference this Canada Day.
